Gibara is a small city located in the province of Holguin, Cuba. The city is also known as La Villa Blanca. Founded on January 16, 1817. Gibara has a rich history, distinctive culture, and a beautiful landscape, but the greatest richness is the people, we live so proud of the town and its history. Gibara is known as the host of "Festival International de Cine Pobre". This city is a destination for many tourists because it is one of the oldest cities of Holguin also for its beaches, caves, and mountains. La Villa Blanca although small, has a peculiar charm, the contrast of a treasured architectural heritage for nearly two centuries, lush landscapes, and a sense of belonging and cultural roots of its people, whoever makes the visit be taken with and she is forced to return again and again to this land.
